Spectral Stieltjes-type Integration and Some Applications
This paper presents Stieltjes-type integration for operator-valued functions with respect to spectral families. The relation between RiemannStieltjes integrals associated with some classes of spectral families including, in particular, those that arise in the context of the Stone representation theorem for Banach spaces is established. The developed approach is applied to the structural analysi...
متن کاملSPECTRUM OF THE FOURIER-STIELTJES ALGEBRA OF A SEMIGROUP
For a unital foundation topological *-semigroup S whose representations separate points of S, we show that the spectrum of the Fourier-Stieltjes algebra B(S) is a compact semitopological semigroup. We also calculate B(S) for several examples of S.
متن کاملA Comparative Analysis between Right and Left Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernias
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a rare congenital anomaly of the diaphragm with an incidence of 1:2000-5000 of live births. This study retrospectively evaluated patients who had been operated on for CDH at our department of Pediatric Surgery between January 2013 and December 2016. The Demographic Data and outcomes of right CDH cases (Group 1) were compared with left CDH cases (Group 2).
متن کاملRight and left strongly locally testable semigroups and languages
The objective of this paper is to de ne and characterize the families of right (left) strongly locally testable languages (RSLT and LSLT ) and semigroups (RSLTS and LSLTS). Given k > 0, the membership of a w ord x to a RSLT (RSTk) language can be decided by exploring the segments of length k of x, as well as considering the order of appearance of those segments when we scan the pre xes of x. A ...
